CRA and Polarise Enter Cooperation at Prague Gateway Data Centre

CRA and Polarise, a European provider of sovereign AI infrastructure, have signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) reserving 15 MW of capacity at CRA’s Prague Gateway data centre.

The Letter of Intent formalises Polarise’s commitment to reserve 15 MW of capacity at Prague Gateway DC, the new data centre CRA is building in Jíloviště near Prague. Polarise is securing this capacity for an end customer from the European AI cloud services market.

“Europe needs sovereign AI capacity, and it needs it fast – not from one mega-site, but from a network. That is the idea behind our GigaGrid: many smaller, connected AI factories across Europe that share workloads and strengthen the whole. This is the way the EU can achieve the compute power and digital sovereignty it seeks – on European terms. With CRA, Prague Gateway becomes a strong Central European node in that grid – a high-density, AI-ready location in the heart of the continent,” says Michel Boutouil, Founder and CEO of Polarise.

"By signing the Letter of Intent we are gaining a strong European partner that is building a key layer of sovereign AI infrastructure on our capacity. Prague Gateway DC has been designed precisely for this type of customer, and the cooperation with Polarise confirms that the Czech Republic has something to offer on a European scale," says Miloš Mastník, CEO of CRA.

Polarise is a European provider of sovereign AI cloud solutions. The cooperation between CRA and Polarise is not intended to end with this activity. The two companies are preparing joint steps within a wider European AI infrastructure agenda, including a planned discussion on potential involvement in gigafactory-type projects. The specific form will be defined following talks within the relevant consortium.
