Skanska to build CRA Prague Gateway DC, one of the region's most significant data centres

CRA Prague Gateway DC a.s., a subsidiary of České Radiokomunikace (CRA), has signed a contract with construction company Skanska for the construction of the Prague Gateway DC data centre, one of the most significant data centres in the Central European region.

Construction will begin immediately after the signing of the contract. The initial phase will cover:

  • site infrastructure,
  • foundation structures,
  • the load-bearing precast concrete skeleton of the building.

The contract with Skanska follows previous milestones in the preparation of Prague Gateway DC including the recently completed contractual coverage of full optical connectivity and initial capacity reservations with early customers, such as Spain-based Multiverse Computing. The data centre is being prepared for the most demanding workloads, including AI projects.

"Signing the contract with Skanska is a key milestone for the Prague Gateway DC project. We have chosen a partner with a proven track record of delivering projects of this scale and technical complexity within the required timeframe and quality standards. Construction starts immediately, and our goal is to build a data centre capable of handling even the most demanding AI projects," said Miloš Mastník, CEO of CRA.
